01. Where can I use location tracking?

02. How much does it cost?

For Mobile Location Tracking, we use a credit-based system. You can purchase:

  1. Five (5) Tracking credits = ₱50.00
  2. Twenty (20) Tracking credits = ₱125.00
  3. Forty (40) Tracking credits = ₱350.00

03. Is this legal?

Yes. Location tracking is a Location-Based-Service (LBS), thus we believe there’s no question to this. If you are using an Android phone or an iPhone, chances are you have at some point shared your location information automatically through the use of apps downloaded and installed on your phone. These apps shares the same legal principle that we enforce when you use our services.

While you may enjoy the use of our service, we refrain you from using it in any unlawful or prohibited use as stated from our Terms and Conditions.

04. How about my data, is it safe?

We do our best to protect the privacy of your data, that is why we have multiple layers of security implementations. We collect only your personal information for the purpose of account identification and nothing else. Please read our Privacy Policy.

While submitting your information to our servers, data in transit is protected through Transport Layer Security (TLS) and data at rest is encrypted and stored securely in our servers. We encrypt some portions of these data for privacy and security.

We want you to know that we do not store any payment information like credit card numbers, etc. This is handled directly by Paypal through the use of the payment API.

For mobile tracking, there is no recording of history when the information has been submitted to you via SMS. We only kept the logs for troubleshooting, support and investigation purposes. We do not, in any way monitor any location data.

Also, we are working our compliance with the National Privacy Commission on the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

05. What is a tracking credit?

This is the (X) number of times you can request to track a mobile location. Five (5) tracking credits means you can track a mobile device that you have registered in the system for five (5) times. After this, you have to purchase credits again.

06. Will this work in any phone?

Yes. All GSM mobile devices that supports 2G, 3G, LTE in the Philippines. This is not phone specific.

07. What mobile network is supported?

Both Philippine carriers are supported by GetMe. However, only mobile devices that uses a Globe Telecom SIM can be registered and tracked using SMS tracking through Location-Based-Service (LBS). This is a service that only works with Globe.

Both Globe and Smart users though will be able to use GetMe and track the Globe device.

08. So how do I purchase?

09. I have purchased the license key, what’s next?

You have to register the mobile device that you want to track to the GetMe’s gateway. Kindly follow the instructions here from Alice as an example.

10. Ok I have registered the mobile device, what’s next?

You have to load (Key in) the license key to your mobile device. Kindly follow the instructions here from Bob.

11. Ok I loaded (Key in) the license key, what’s next?

You have to add an Alias for the mobile number that you want to track (Add in). Kindly follow the instructions here from Bob.

12. Ok I created an Alias (Add in), what’s next?

Now you can send the command “Get me {ALIAS}” (without the quotes). Kindly follow the instructions here from Bob.

13. It works! Can I register another mobile device?

Yes. You can use the same command in #9 and #11 or kindly follow the instructions here.

14. I have 14 family members, can I register them all?

Yes. There is no limit to the number of devices that you can register. Do not forget to add an alias for each family member. Adding an alias cost ₱1.00/alias.

15. I got an error when adding an alias.

Make sure that your alias is unique. Aliases serves as a unique identifier for you. Aliases are case-sensitive.

16. My command is correct but I got an error.

SMS commands are case sensitive. You must type them as-is, as-shown in this page.

  1. For registration: yes – Send to 2158-3929
  2. For loading: Key in <license_key> <registered_email_address> – Send to 2929-0-3929
  3. For alias: Add in <registered_number> <Alias> – Send to 2929-0-3929
  4. For tracking: Get me <Alias> – Send to 2929-0-3929

17. I got a “no carrier response”.

It means the mobile device that you are tracking is either turned off, out of coverage area or not registered in the gateway. At some point, this happens when there is no sufficient signal in the area.

18. Will I be charged for no response?

Yes. This is deducted to your credit. For every request that we passed to the network carrier, we are also charged.

19. I “Key in” my license key twice.

Please refrain from attempting to retry/input an already used, or a random license key. You will be charged ₱2.50 for any invalid attempts made. This is to deter and protect our system from any unacceptable use or abuse.

20. Does my phone need to be GPS supported?

No. For the Mobile SMS tracking service, there is no need for a GPS supported phone.

01. Is this accurate?

The accuracy is around 2-5 meters in open area and around 10-15 meters for closed area. GPS signal acquisition will vary when the vehicle is park inside a building.

02. How much does it cost?

For GPS Location Tracking, we are offering three (3) products:

  1. App-based = ₱1,800.00/year
  2. Car OBD II = ₱3,800.00
  3. Personal GPS Tracker = ₱4,500.00

03. What is app-based tracking?

You download our Android App and use your existing GPS capable Android phone as a GPS tracker. This is a subscription that will allow you to use our GPS server for one (1) year.

04. Will the car OBD work in my car?

All cars made around 2001 has a standard OBD II port. For instructions how to check your OBD port, please go to: https://www.hum.com/port

05. Does it require Internet connection?

Yes. All hardware GPS receivers require a mobile data connection so it can pass the acquired GPS position from the satellite to you. Without a mobile Internet connection, the GPS device will not be able to send out the location info.

06. Will this work in any phone?

09. I have purchased the device, what’s next?

10. How much mobile Internet do I need?

The device sends out small ‘pings’ on a frequent basis so a 100MB of data would be enough.

11. How much is the subscription price?

The subscription price is ₱888.00/month. This includes 200MB of mobile data and 250 SMS. The subscription is only available for car OBD customers.

12. What is the personal GPS tracker?

This is a 2G GPS device which allows you to track your loved ones in real-time.

13. How much is the personal GPS tracker?

The price is ₱4,500.00.

14. Is the personal GPS tracker accurate?

The accuracy is around 2-5 meters in open area and around 10-15 meters for closed area. GPS signal acquisition will vary when the person is inside a building.

15. What is the call monitoring function?

When the person clicked the “SOS” function, you will be able to hear what is happening on the background. You may also set the device to monitor mode so every time you dial the number of the device, it will accept the call automatically for you to monitor.

16. Can I locate the device using the web browser?

Technically yes, but we do not recommend this anymore since this is a 2G device. 2G GPS devices uses GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) to send out the location information which the update may not be as fast as HSDPA, 3G or LTE devices. Thus, the most advisable way to communicate to the device is via SMS.
